چکیده

Suppose A = {a(i, j)}, for i ≥ 0 and j ≥ 0, is the dispersion of a strictly increasing sequence r = (r(0), r(1), r(2), . . .) of integers, where r(0) = 1 and infinitely many postive integers are not terms of r. Let R be the set of such sequences, and define t on R by tr(n) = a(0, n) for n ≥ 0. Let F be the subset of R consisting of sequences r satisfying ttr = r. The set F is characterized in terms of ordered arrangements of numbers i + jθ. For fixed i ≥ 0, the sequence a(i, j), for j ≥ 1, is the (i + 1)st partial complement of r. Central to the characterization of F is the role of the families of figurate (or polygonal) number sequences and the centered polygonal number sequences. Finally, it is conjectured that for every r in R, the iterates t(2m)r converge to a sequence in F .

Affinization of Segre products of partial linear spaces

Hyperplanes and hyperplane complements in the Segre product of partial linear spaces are investigated. The parallelism of such a complement is characterized in terms of the point-line incidence. Assumptions, under which the automorphisms of the complement are the restrictions of the automorphisms of the ambient space, are given. An affine covering for the Segre product of Veblenian gamma spaces...

Preparation, Characterization and Stability Studies of Glassy Solid Dispersions of Indomethacin using PVP and Isomalt as carriers

Objective(s) The purpose of the present study was to use the solid dispersion (SD) technique to improve the dissolution rates of indomethacin (IMC). Materials and Methods IMC solid dispersions in PVP K30 and isomalt (GALEN IQ 990) were prepared using the solvent evaporation technique and a hot melt method in weight ratios of 2, 10 and 30% (IMC:PVP). Solid dispersions and physical mixtures we...

Fluctuations of composite observables and stability of statistical systems.

Thermodynamic stability of statistical systems requires that susceptibilities be semipositive and finite. Susceptibilities are known to be related to the fluctuations of extensive observable quantities. This relation becomes nontrivial, when the operator of an observable quantity is represented as a sum of operators corresponding to the extensive system parts. The association of the dispersions...

On Partial Constituent Fronting in German Kordula De Kuthy and Walt

This paper presents a reevaluation of the choice between the two analyses for German partial fronting phenomena proposed in the literature, remnant movement and reanalysis. We show that the empirical arguments which were presented in favor of an extraction analysis are not convincing, and we provide empirical evidence supporting a reanalysis-like approach. Turning to a detailed data discussion,...

Flat - Bands on Partial Line Graphs — Systematic Method for Generating Flat - Band Lattice Structures —

We introduce a systematic method for constructing a class of lattice structures that we call “partial line graph”s. In tight-binding models on partial line graphs, energy bands with flat energy dispersions emerge. This method can be applied to twoand three-dimensional systems. We show examples of partial line graphs of square and cubic lattices. The method is useful in providing a guideline for...
